Plot

At the age of 43, Jean-Dominique Bauby, the editor-in-chief of the renowned French magazine Elle, suffers a life-altering stroke. This incident leaves him with locked-in syndrome, rendering him nearly immobile and only capable of communicating through a single blinking eye. Despite his severe limitations, Bauby embarks on a remarkable journey to convey his thoughts and experiences, painstakingly dictating his memoir using the one form of expression still available to him.
