Yang Zi, commonly known in English as Andy Yang, is a talented actor and singer hailing from Beijing, China. She embarked on her artistic journey at a young age and graduated from the prestigious Beijing Film Academy (BFA) in 2014.

Yang Zi's career began in 2002 with her role in the television series "Ru Ci Chu Shan" (如此出山), followed by her film debut in 2004 with "Girl's Diary" (女生日记). Her breakthrough came in 2012 when she received the Best Newcomer Award at the 14th Golden Phoenix Awards for her compelling performance in the thriller "Insistence" (守株人).

Throughout her career, Yang Zi has garnered numerous accolades, including the Best Actress in Modern TV Series at the 26th Huading Awards and the Outstanding Actress (Emerald Category) at the 6th The Actors of China Award Ceremony. She was celebrated as the iQiyi Scream Goddess at the 2019 iQiyi All-Star Carnival and earned the Favourite Supporting Actress honor at the 16th Guangzhou Student Film Festival for her role in "The Bravest" (烈火英雄). Additionally, she has been recognized as Weibo Queen for three consecutive years in 2019, 2020, and 2024, and was named TV Drama Actress of the Year at the 2023 Tencent All-Star Night.

On November 15, 2021, Yang Zi announced the end of her contract with H&R Century Pictures Co., Ltd, subsequently launching her own personal studio the next day, marking a new chapter in her career.
