Griff Rhys Jones

Griff Rhys Jones is a distinguished Welsh actor and author, born in 1953 in Cardiff, Wales. His family relocated to Essex, England, during his childhood. He received his education at Brentwood School in Essex, where he demonstrated academic prowess, eventually earning an exhibition to Emmanuel College, Cambridge. Initially studying History, he later shifted his focus to English literature.

At Cambridge, Griff became an active member of the Footlights Club, where he made significant contributions to the theatrical community, ultimately serving as vice president in 1976.
