Leticia Dolera
Leticia Dolera, born on October 23, 1981, is a prominent Spanish actress, screenwriter, and director. She gained significant recognition for her portrayal of Clara in the 2013 horror film REC 3: Genesis, as well as for her roles as Teresa in the 2003 film Imagining Argentina and Carmen in the British series Mad Dogs.
Dolera's career commenced with the television series Al salir de clase (When Class Is Over), where she portrayed the character Angela from 2000 to 2002. Her film debut came in 2001 with Bellas durmientes, after which she expanded her filmography with projects such as The Other Side of the Bed, Semen, A Love Story, and Man Push Cart, the latter of which garnered three Independent Spirit Award nominations.
In 2012, her performance in the third installment of the REC franchise earned her critical acclaim. In the UK, she became well-known for her role as Carmen in the Sky TV series Mad Dogs, which aired from 2012 to 2014.
In 2015, Dolera took on the dual role of writer and director for the film Requirements To Be A Normal Person. She also authored a feminist book titled Morder la manzana. La revolución será feminista o no será, published in February 2018. That same year, she opened the La Mercè festival in Barcelona, sharing the spotlight with Carmen Juares, a Honduran migrant caregiver.
In October 2019, Dolera's television series Vida perfecta premiered on Movistar+, receiving a positive response from critics. However, the production faced controversy when actress Aina Clotet alleged on Twitter that Dolera had opted not to cast her due to her pregnancy.
