The Emperor's Wife (2003)

Plot

In a mystical land reminiscent of 1001 nights, the Emperor faces a dire ultimatum: if his Empress fails to produce a son within seven years, he must find a new wife. As they celebrate their sixth anniversary, the Emperor (Max Beesley) and his loyal servant Chamberlain (Jonathan Rhys-Meyers) discreetly scout for a virgin to assume the role of Empress. They smuggle the chosen candidate, Sabah (Leticia Dolera), into a hidden section of the palace, where she endures rigorous training under watchful eyes. The stakes rise as the current Empress (Rosana Pastor) risks everything to conceive, with deadly consequences for those in hiding.
