Ali Mosaffa

Ali Mosaffa (علی مصفا), born in Tehran, Iran, hails from a distinguished literary family. His father, Mozaher Mosaffa, is a celebrated Persian poet and a professor of Persian literature at the University of Tehran, while his mother, Amir Banoo Karimi, also a prominent scholar in the same field, is the eldest daughter of the famed poet Amiri Firuzkuhi. From an early age, Ali developed a passion for storytelling and English, which ultimately contributed to his fluency in the language.

He pursued a degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Tehran, where his interest in acting began to flourish. Mosaffa made his film debut in the 1991 movie Omid and garnered critical acclaim the following year, winning the Best Male Actor award at the Fajr International Film Festival for his performance in Darius Mehrjui's Pari. His career continued to thrive, with notable works including The Mix, The Tower of Minoo, The Last Step, Beloved Sky, There Are Things You Don't Know, The Past, What's the Time in Your World, Death of the Fish, and Duet.

In 1996, he crossed paths with his future wife, acclaimed Iranian actress Leila Hatami, on the set of the film Leila. They tied the knot in 1999 and are proud parents to two children: a son, Mani, born in February 2007, and a daughter, Asal, born in October 2008. Ali Mosaffa's contributions to Iranian cinema continue to resonate, establishing him as a significant figure in the industry.
