Inversion (2016)

Plot

Tehran's air quality has plummeted due to a severe thermal inversion. Niloofar, a thirty-something seamstress, cares for her elderly mother while managing her alterations shop. When doctors recommend leaving the polluted city for her mother's health, family pressure mounts for Niloofar to accompany her. As the youngest sibling, she has always followed her family's wishes, but now she faces a dilemma: comply with their demands or assert her independence. The struggle between familial duty and personal desires forces Niloofar to confront her own identity and aspirations. Will she choose to break free from tradition?
