Gackt
Gakuto Oshiro, widely recognized by his stage name Gackt, was born on July 4, 1973, and has made a significant impact on the Japanese entertainment industry as a singer-songwriter, musician, record producer, and actor. Raised in a family of educators, Gackt's musical journey began at the tender age of three, where he immersed himself in classical music theory and piano. His teenage years introduced him to rock music, spurring a dedication to electric guitar and drums.
In the early 1990s, Gackt honed his skills as a sound technician and studio drummer before transitioning to a singing career. His initial foray into music included a stint with the independent band Cains:Feel, but it was his role as the frontman for the visual kei band Malice Mizer that catapulted him to fame. After departing from the band in 1999, he launched a successful solo career with his debut EP, Mizérable, and has since released nine studio albums, eight compilation albums, and an impressive forty-four singles.
