Eileen O'Brien

Eileen O'Brien is a seasoned English actress renowned for her diverse performances across British television. Her career spans several decades, showcasing her versatility in various roles. She made a notable appearance in the popular ITV soap opera Emmerdale in 2013, portraying Beattie Dixon. This was not her first stint with the show; she had previously played the character of Bridget Burgess, a teacher, between 2006 and 2007.

O'Brien's talent also shone in the BBC soap opera EastEnders, where she had a recurring role from 1987 to 1988 as Edie Smith, the mother of Mary Smith, played by Linda Davidson.
