Plot

Set against the backdrop of 1947 Britain, the nation gears up for the royal wedding of Princess Elizabeth and Prince Philip. Dr. Charles Swaby, accountant Henry Allardyce, and solicitor Frank Lockwood embark on a scheme to circumvent food rationing by fattening a prized black-market pig for the festivities. Encouraged by his ambitious wife, timid Gilbert Chilvers decides to steal the pig, plunging the couple into a web of deception as they scramble to keep their secret from the ever-watchful inspector Morris Wormold. Mayhem ensues in this comedic tale of ambition and subterfuge.
