Bernd Hölscher

Bernd Hölscher embarked on his academic journey by studying German and history at universities in Würzburg, Münster, and Cologne. His passion for the performing arts led him to the Freiburg drama school, where he honed his acting skills from 1996 to 2000. Throughout his career, Hölscher has graced several prestigious German theaters, including notable engagements in Stuttgart, Mannheim, Detmold, and Rostock, as well as the renowned Schaubühne Berlin. In 2021, he made waves at the Staatstheater Kassel, where he has been a member of the ensemble since the 2010-11 season.

Hölscher's film career took a significant turn in 2017 when he landed a key role in Robert Schwentke's biographical film, *The Captain*. His compelling performance earned him a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the German Acting Award in 2018, marking a pivotal moment in his career.
