Plot

Set against the backdrop of East Berlin in 1989, Suzie faces expulsion just before her high school graduation, forcing her to take a job at a cable factory. A chance photograph opens the door to the vibrant fashion scene of the GDR, catching the attention of editor Elsa Wilbrodt, who features her on the cover of Sibylle magazine. Navigating the underground culture, Suzie befriends gay designer Rudi and photographer Coyote. As she immerses herself in this new world, she grapples with the bold choice of leaving her past behind for a more adventurous future.
