Sam Hyde

Samuel Whitcomb Hyde, born on April 16, 1985, in Massachusetts, is a notable American comedian and a founding member of the sketch comedy collective Million Dollar Extreme (MDE), formed with Nick Rochefort and Charls Carroll. Raised in Connecticut, Hyde pursued a degree in filmmaking from the Rhode Island School of Design, which laid the groundwork for his creative career.

MDE rose to fame on YouTube for its unconventional, often controversial approach to comedy, featuring a unique blend of anti-sketch humor and public pranks that tested societal norms. One notable moment that garnered widespread attention was a satirical TEDx talk that exemplified their provocative style.

In 2016, Hyde and MDE launched the television series *Million Dollar Extreme Presents: World Peace* on Adult Swim. The show was characterized by its surreal and boundary-pushing sketches, though it quickly became divisive due to its incorporation of contentious themes, including antisemitism and misogyny. Despite amassing a dedicated following, especially within alt-right circles, the series faced backlash and was canceled after a single season. Hyde attributed the cancellation to his outspoken support for Donald Trump, while critics pointed to the show's offensive content.

Currently, Hyde hosts the reality series *Fishtank*. His career has also been marked by a recurring internet hoax falsely linking him to various mass shootings, a phenomenon he has sometimes engaged with humorously.
