Jennifer Podemski is a renowned Canadian actress, producer, and filmmaker, whose impactful career spans over two decades. Hailing from Toronto and of mixed First Nations and Israeli heritage, she embarked on her acting journey in her teens, gaining prominence with her role as Pique in CBC's The Diviners. Her breakout performance came in Bruce McDonald's Dance Me Outside, which set the stage for her flourishing career.

Recognizing the disparities in representation behind the camera, Jennifer took action to create change. By the age of 25, she co-founded Big Soul Productions (BSP) with fellow producer Laura Milliken, marking a significant milestone as Canada’s first Aboriginal-owned full-service production company. BSP produced notable projects, including the acclaimed series Moccasin Flats, which aired for three seasons on Showcase and APTN.

In 2005, she established Redcloud Studios, Inc., continuing her commitment to storytelling. While she has appeared in various productions, such as Degrassi, Republic of Doyle, and Sarah Polley's Take This Waltz, her pride lies in her leading role in Empire of Dirt. This film not only showcased her talent as an actress but also earned her two nominations at the Canadian Screen Awards for Best Actress in a Supporting Role and Best Feature Film for her producing efforts. Premiering at TIFF 2014, Empire of Dirt enjoyed international recognition on the festival circuit.

Additionally, Jennifer serves as the creator and producer of APTN's paranormal series The Other Side and has spent nearly a decade as Co-Executive Producer and Creative Director of the Indspire Awards, where her work garnered a nomination for Best Lifestyle Television Show at the 2014 CSAs. Recently, she has appeared as Dr. Crowshoe on the acclaimed series Blackstone and in HBO's Sensitive Skin.

Beyond her professional achievements, Jennifer dedicates time to mentoring Indigenous youth in the film and television industry, conducting workshops to foster self-esteem and creativity across Canada and the United States.
