Pier Giorgio Bellocchio
Pier Giorgio Bellocchio, the offspring of filmmaker Marco Bellocchio and actress Gisella Burinato, embarked on his acting career at a tender age of six. He made his first appearance in the films "Holiday in Vacanze in Val Trebbia" and "Salto nel vuoto," both released in 1980 alongside his parents. Following this early foray into acting, he took a significant hiatus, only returning to the screen in 1999 with the film "La Balie," which was directed by his father. In 2003, he ventured into theatre by presenting the play "Traces."
Beyond his acting pursuits, Pier Giorgio has played a vital role in the production side of filmmaking, often handling the financial management for his father's projects. He also oversaw the production of various other works, including music videos. Bellocchio made his directorial debut in 1994 with "DeGenerazione," a film composed of segments by different Italian directors. In this anthology, he specifically directed the piece titled "Arrivano i nostri."
Throughout his career, Pier Giorgio Bellocchio has not only showcased his talent in front of the camera but has also significantly contributed to the film industry behind the scenes, bridging the gap between acting and production.
