Raugi Yu, a versatile actor and director, began his television journey in the late 1990s. His early appearances included a guest role on the 1998 series The Sentinel. In 2001, he lent his voice to the character of the Cook in PBS’s animated show Sagwa, the Chinese Siamese Cat, while also making an appearance in the sci-fi series Dark Angel. Over the next few years, Yu featured in three episodes of Da Vinci’s Inquest and played various roles in shows like Dead Like Me and The Dead Zone, as well as the film Spook.

In 2005, Yu voiced Wendy’s Butler in The Cramp Twins, showcasing his talent for animation. His television credits continued to grow with roles in Intelligence and Masters of Horror in 2006, followed by parts in When a Man Falls in the Forest and Eureka in 2007. He also joined the recurring cast of Mr. Young and portrayed Kam Fong in the series JPod.

Yu's theatrical roots run deep, having performed in numerous productions, including a notable role as The King of Siam in Theatre Under The Stars’ rendition of The King and I in 2002. He has also made significant contributions to the Vancouver arts scene, directing The Odd Couple for the Vancouver Asian Canadian Theatre in 2008, and currently serves as an acting coach and educator at New Image College of Fine Arts and Bard On The Beach, where he nurtures the next generation of actors through summer programs for young Shakespearean enthusiasts.
