Nora Denney
Nora Denney, born on September 3, 1927, and who passed away on November 20, 2005, was a talented American actress recognized for her work on stage, television, and in films. Also known by the name Dodo Denney, her acting career took off in Kansas City when she landed a role at the local television station KCMO TV as Marilyn the Witch, the charismatic host for horror movie broadcasts.
Throughout her career, Denney showcased her versatility by appearing in a variety of popular television series such as Green Acres, Petticoat Junction, Hart to Hart, Get Smart, Room 222, and That Girl. Her filmography includes notable movies like Who's Minding the Mint? (1967), I Walk the Line (1970), Do Not Fold, Spindle or Mutilate (1971), I Wonder Who's Killing Her Now? (1975), American Hot Wax (1978), and Truman (1995). Her final film role was in Ang Lee's Ride with the Devil, released in 1999.
One of Denney's most memorable performances was as Mrs. Teevee in the beloved classic Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1971), where she starred alongside Gene Wilder and Jack Albertson. Her contributions to the entertainment industry continue to be celebrated by fans and fellow actors alike.
