Michael Showalter
Michael Showalter, born on June 17, 1970, is a multifaceted American director, writer, and producer known for his distinctive contributions to comedy and film. He gained prominence as a member of the sketch comedy troupe featured in MTV's The State, which aired from 1993 to 1995. Alongside fellow comedian David Wain, Showalter co-created the beloved Wet Hot American Summer franchise, which began with the cult classic film in 2001 and later expanded into a Netflix series.
