Duane Whitaker, born on June 23, 1959, is an acclaimed American actor and filmmaker recognized for his versatile contributions to film and theater. He gained significant attention for his role as Maynard, the menacing pawn shop owner, in Quentin Tarantino's iconic 1994 film, *Pulp Fiction*. In addition to acting, Whitaker showcased his talent as a writer and director with *Eddie Presley*, a project inspired by his own successful stage play. He also directed and starred in *Together and Alone*.

Throughout his career, Whitaker has portrayed a variety of memorable characters, including a racist cop in *Tales from the Hood*, the bouncer Roadrash in *Hobgoblins*, and Boss Man in *Feast*.
