Anna Yuryevna Netrebko, born on September 18, 1971, is a distinguished Russian-Austrian soprano renowned for her powerful voice and dynamic performances in the world of opera. With a flourishing international career, she has graced prestigious stages such as the Salzburg Festival, Metropolitan Opera, Vienna State Opera, and The Royal Opera.

Her journey in music began at the Mariinsky Theatre, where she was guided by the esteemed conductor Valery Gergiev. Netrebko gained international acclaim for her portrayal of Donna Anna in Mozart's *Don Giovanni* at the Salzburg Festival in 2002. While she initially garnered recognition for her lyric and coloratura soprano roles, she later embraced more demanding 19th-century romantic characters, including Leonora in *Il trovatore* and Lady Macbeth in *Macbeth*. More recently, since 2016, she has shifted her focus towards the verismo repertoire.

In her personal life, Netrebko married Azerbaijani tenor Yusif Eyvazov in 2015, and the couple often collaborates on stage.
