William Henry
William Albert Henry (November 10, 1914 – August 10, 1982) was a notable American actor who made his mark in Hollywood. Born in Los Angeles, California, Henry embarked on his acting journey as a child, eventually transitioning to lead roles in B-movies, particularly in the Western genre. Over the years, he evolved into a respected character actor, showcasing his versatility across various television series and films.
Henry's career flourished as a member of the esteemed John Ford Stock Company, where he collaborated with the legendary director on twelve occasions. Aside from his film work, he was actively involved with the Pasadena Community Playhouse, contributing to the local theater scene.
He came from a family of actors; his brother, Thomas Browne Henry, also found success in character roles. In his personal life, William experienced two marriages. His first union was with Grace Durkin, and together they welcomed two children, son Michael and daughter Michele. After their divorce, he married Barbara Knudson, with whom he had a son, William "Bill" Henry, Jr., born in 1958. Throughout his life, Henry left a lasting legacy in the entertainment industry before passing away in 1982.
