Massimo Borghetti
Massimo Borghetti was born on August 24, 1950, in Ortona a Mare, Abruzzo, Italy, but spent his formative years in Florence from the age of three. In 1987, he made a significant move to the Dominican Republic, where he established his roots and began a diverse career in entertainment.
Borghetti gained prominence in 2002 with the launch of his radio show, Canta Italia, which aired on various stations including Quisqueya FM, Neón, CDN La Radio, and Super 7. His passion for connecting Italian culture with the Dominican audience led him to television in 2004, where he introduced "Ciao Italia," a program dedicated to Italian news and events. The following year, he debuted "El Ático," a culinary entertainment show featuring renowned Neapolitan chef Ciro Casola on CDN Canal 37, further showcasing his versatility.
In addition to his media endeavors, Borghetti transitioned into film, appearing in the popular Dominican blockbuster "Sanky Panky" in 2007 and its sequel in 2013. In these films, he portrayed Giuseppe, a childhood friend of the protagonist Genaro, and served as the Managing Director of the prestigious Barcelo Bavaro Beach Hotel, helping Genaro navigate his path to becoming a "Sanky Panky."
Through his various contributions to radio, television, and film, Massimo Borghetti has become a notable figure in the Dominican entertainment industry, bridging cultural gaps and entertaining audiences for decades.
