Meera Syal
Meera Syal MBE, born Feeroza Syal on June 27, 1961, is a versatile British talent renowned for her contributions as a comedienne, writer, actress, playwright, journalist, singer, and producer. She gained significant recognition as a co-creator of the acclaimed comedy series *Goodness Gracious Me*, which humorously explores British-Asian culture. Syal further endeared herself to audiences through her memorable portrayal of Ummi, the charming grandmother on the popular show *The Kumars at No. 42*, solidifying her status as a leading figure in British comedy.
