Fumi Kaneko

Fumi Kaneko embarked on her ballet journey at the Jinushi Kaoru Ballet School in Osaka, where she honed her skills and developed her passion for dance. Her professional career took off when she joined the prestigious Royal Ballet during the 2010/11 season. Demonstrating remarkable talent and dedication, Kaneko quickly advanced through the ranks of the company. She achieved the title of First Artist in 2012, followed by a promotion to Soloist in 2013. Her artistic growth continued, and by 2018, she was elevated to the position of First Soloist.

In 2021, Fumi Kaneko reached a significant milestone in her career when she was appointed Principal dancer, a testament to her exceptional artistry and commitment to ballet. Throughout her tenure at the Royal Ballet, she has participated in a variety of notable productions, showcasing her versatility and captivating stage presence. Kaneko's performances have garnered critical acclaim, establishing her as one of the leading figures in the world of ballet.
