Penny Edwards was a talented American actress whose career spanned stage, television, and film. She began her journey in the performing arts at the young age of twelve, showcasing her dancing skills in the production of *Let's Face It*. By the time she was fourteen, she had made her Broadway debut as a dancer in the 1943 edition of the *Ziegfeld Follies*, and went on to perform in other notable Broadway shows such as *Laffing Room Only* and *The Duchess Misbehaves*.

Edwards made her film debut in *My Wild Irish Rose*, and went on to appear in a variety of films including *Trail of Robin Hood*, *Spoilers of the Plains*, *Heart of the Rockies*, and *Sunset in the West*. In the late 1940s, she took her talents on the road, touring the United States for fourteen months in a vaudeville show. Her performance alongside Roy Rogers in *Sunset in the West* in 1950 garnered her a long-term contract with Republic Pictures.

Throughout the 1950s, Edwards also made her mark on television, particularly in westerns and mystery shows. One of her memorable roles was as Nan Gable in the 1958 episode "Two-Gun Nan" on *Death Valley Days*, where she portrayed a sharpshooter undertaking an ambitious journey. Although she announced her retirement in 1954 to focus on her faith, she made a brief return in 1956, playing Molly Crowley in the TV series *Cheyenne*.
