Yuri Nakamura

Yuri Nakamura, originally named Sung Yu-Ri, was born in Osaka, Japan, in 1982 to a South Korean mother and a Japanese father of Korean descent. She embarked on her entertainment journey in 1998 after gaining recognition at TV Tokyo's Asayan audition in 1996. Shortly thereafter, she formed the musical duo YuriMari with fellow artist Izawa Mari; the duo debuted in 1998 but disbanded within a year.

In 2003, with the support of Avex Management, Yuri transitioned into acting, making her mark on both television and film. Her talent was recognized at the third Osaka Cinema Festival in 2008, where she received the Rookie Award for her performance in the film "Pacchigi! Love & Peace," released in 2007. In early 2013, she shifted her career to Alpha Agency, continuing to expand her artistic repertoire.

Beyond acting, Yuri showcased her versatility as a host for the NHK documentary "The World On A Bicycle: Uzbekistan," which aired in 2014. Since the early 2000s, she has also been a prominent figure in promoting various corporate products and services. Passionate about travel, Yuri continues to explore new horizons both personally and professionally, solidifying her place in the entertainment industry.
