MARS (they/them) is a celebrated actor, writer, and producer who has garnered numerous accolades throughout their career. As a young child, MARS immigrated with their family to Brighton Beach, Brooklyn, fleeing Russia as Jewish refugees. Committed to dismantling patriarchal systems, they co-founded Besties Make Movies.

MARS has earned several nominations for Best Actress for their performance in the acclaimed short film JONES. Their film 2 WEEKS, which explores themes of asexuality, had its debut at the Oxford Film Festival, later screening at NFMLA, and winning Best LGBT Short at both Indie Short Fest and IndieX Film Fest. Additionally, their short APPETITE, which they both wrote and starred in, premiered at the Oxford Film Festival. The feature film Triple Threat, where MARS plays a leading role, is currently available for streaming on Peacock after securing multiple awards during its run on the festival circuit. This summer, viewers can see MARS portray Jeanine in AppleTV+'s series Presumed Innocent.

Furthermore, the script ZASHA, co-written by MARS, has been making the festival rounds and recently clinched the award for Best Horror Short at the Oregon Short Film Festival.
