Joe Lando
Joseph John Lando, born on December 9, 1961, in Prairie View, Illinois, is a well-known American actor celebrated for his portrayal of Byron Sully in the beloved television series *Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman*.
Lando’s journey into acting began while he was working as a cook in a Hollywood restaurant, where he simultaneously pursued acting lessons. His debut came with a small role as a patrolman in *Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home*. He gained further recognition playing Jake Harrison in the soap opera *One Life to Live*, which opened doors for his significant role in *Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman*, where he starred opposite Jane Seymour. In addition to these memorable roles, he appeared in *The Guiding Light* and was executive producer of the series *Higher Ground*. Lando’s film credits include *Seeds of Doubt* (1996) and *No Code of Conduct* (1998), alongside a guest appearance in *Summerland*.
With a diverse background of Italian, Russian, and Polish heritage, Lando is also a family man. He married Kirsten Barlow on May 24, 1997, and together they have four children: Jack, Christian, Kate, and William.
