Ginette Garcin (January 4, 1928 – June 10, 2010) was a prominent French actress known for her versatile performances across stage, film, and television. Born in Audresselles, Pas-de-Calais, she began her musical journey in 1946 with Jacques Hélian and his orchestra, later working with renowned artists like Loulou Gasté. Garcin gained attention for her unique role as Charlot in the absurdist theatre revues by Strélesky in Rouen, where her performance of "Deux petits chaussons" was particularly praised.

In the 1960s, she became one of the first artists to perform and record the works of notable composers Boby Lapointe and Jean Yanne. The following decade marked a significant evolution in her career as she transitioned to film and theater, collaborating with directors such as Audiard, Lelouch, and Yanne. She gained further recognition in the television series *Marc et Sophie*.

Garcin wrote and starred in the acclaimed play *Le clan des veuves* in 1990, sharing the stage with Jackie Sardou for four successful years. In 1997, she showcased her talents in the musical comedy *Le passe-muraille*, working alongside Didier van Cauwelaert and Michel Legrand. In her later years, she was featured in the series *Famille d'accueil* and films like *La Beuze* and *Les Dalton*. A revival of *Le clan des veuves* took place at the Bouffes-Parisiens theatre in 2006, and she also appeared in Raphaël Mezrahi's play *Monique est demandée en caisse 12*. Garcin succumbed to breast cancer on June 10, 2010, at the age of 82, leaving behind a rich legacy in the performing arts.
