Kersti Heinloo

Kersti Heinloo, born on September 26, 1976, in Tartu, Estonia, is a distinguished actress known for her versatile performances across stage, film, and television. She began her artistic journey in radio before transitioning to acting.

Heinloo completed her secondary education at Pärnu Koidula Gymnasium in 1994. She pursued radio direction at Tallinn Pedagogical University for a year before enrolling in the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, where she graduated in 2000 alongside notable classmates including Maarja Jakobson and Tambet Tuisk. Seeking to expand her expertise, she later attended Brighton Film School in the UK for a year, focusing on motion picture production.

Her professional career kicked off with a five-year stint at the Vanemuine Theatre in Tartu, where she made her debut in Henry Fielding's "The History of Tom Jones, a Foundling." Throughout her time there, Heinloo showcased her talent in works by renowned playwrights such as Shakespeare, Mikhail Bulgakov, and Anton Chekhov, as well as Estonian authors like Mati Unt and August Gailit.

After a brief period as a freelance actress, she joined the Estonian Drama Theatre in 2007, debuting as Annikki in Antti Tuuri's "A River Flows Through the City." Her notable roles at this theater included performances in works by acclaimed writers like Tennessee Williams and Fyodor Dostoyevsky. Additionally, she has graced the stages of the Tallinn City Theatre, Tartu New Theatre, and several others, solidifying her status as a prominent figure in Estonian theatre.
