Christiane Hörbiger, born on October 13, 1938, in Vienna, Austria, is a distinguished actress known for her extensive work in film and television. Coming from a prominent acting family, she is the daughter of notable Austrian performers Attila Hörbiger and Paula Wessely, and has two sisters, Elisabeth Orth and Maresa Hörbiger, who are also accomplished actors. Additionally, she is the aunt of the German-Austrian actor Christian Tramitz.
Throughout her career, Hörbiger has made significant contributions to both German and Austrian television, starring in a multitude of films and series. One of her most memorable roles was as the lead in the acclaimed Austrian series "Julia—eine ungewöhnliche Frau" (Julia—An Extraordinary Woman), which aired from 1998 to 2002, showcasing her talent in portraying complex characters.
