Hilary Dwyer

Hilary Dwyer, born on May 6, 1945, and who passed away on March 30, 2020, was a distinguished English actress, producer, and entrepreneur, also recognized by her married name, Hilary Heath. She gained prominence in the film industry with memorable performances in notable movies such as *Witchfinder General* (1968) and *Wuthering Heights* (1970). In addition to her film work, Dwyer showcased her talent on the London stage, further establishing her presence in the performing arts.

In 1974, Dwyer married talent agent Duncan Heath, with whom she had two children. Together, they co-founded Duncan Heath Associates, a talent agency that later became part of ICM Partners. The couple divorced in 1989, yet Dwyer continued to thrive in her career.

Transitioning to film production, she took on the role of producer for several noteworthy projects, including the feature film *An Awfully Big Adventure* (1995) and television adaptations of literary classics such as Daphne du Maurier’s *Rebecca* (1997) and Tennessee Williams’s *The Roman Spring of Mrs. Stone* (2003). Her final production endeavor was the 2014 miniseries *Jamaica Inn*. Through her diverse contributions to film and theater, Hilary Dwyer left a lasting legacy in the entertainment industry.
