Plot
Set against the backdrop of a tumultuous 1645 England, the brutal civil war ignites a climate of fear and lawlessness. Amidst this chaos, unscrupulous individuals seize the opportunity to prey on the superstitions of the vulnerable peasantry. Chief among them is Matthew Hopkins, a sinister figure masquerading as a witch hunter.
