Colleen Joy Miller, an accomplished American actress, gained prominence in the film industry during the 1950s and 1960s. Born in Yakima, Washington, and raised in Portland, Oregon, she showcased her early talent by graduating from Lincoln High School at just fifteen. Her beauty and charisma led her to be crowned "Miss Portland" in 1949, a title that would pave the way for her future in entertainment. Named after the legendary actress Colleen Moore, Miller initially trained in ballet but later transitioned to popular dance.

After completing her education, she joined a ballet company in San Francisco and eventually made her way to Las Vegas, where she performed at the renowned Flamingo Hotel for three seasons.
