Warren Burton (October 23, 1944 – October 2, 2017) was a talented American actor renowned for his captivating performances on daytime television from the late 1970s through the 1990s, often portraying complex antagonists. Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, he honed his craft at Roosevelt High School and the Art Institute of Chicago before embarking on a professional journey in theater. Burton’s early career saw him perform in various productions in Chicago before relocating to New York, where he graced the stages of both Broadway and Off-Broadway with notable appearances in shows like *Gypsy* and *Hair*.
Burton's soap opera career truly flourished with his portrayal of Eddie Dorrance #3 on *All My Children* from 1978 to 1979, a role that earned him a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in 1980. His impressive résumé includes memorable characters such as Jason Dunlap on *Another World* (1980-1982), Warren Andrews on *Guiding Light* (1983-1987), Phillip Hamilton on *Santa Barbara* (1988-1989), and Dr. Hepler on *The Bold and the Beautiful* (1995).
