Simon Pengelly
Simon Pengelly, originally Simon Bradley Pengelly, was born on February 11, 1983, in Brecon, Wales. He attended Brecon High School, where he excelled academically and showcased his athletic prowess by playing on the school rugby team. A dedicated martial artist, Simon achieved his second Dan black belt in Shotokan karate with the Brecon Shotokan Karate Club and represented Wales as an international fighter, earning multiple caps.
Following his education, Simon pursued an apprenticeship in electrical work, achieving an NVQ Level 2 certification. After completing his training, he embarked on a journey around the globe, spending significant time in New Zealand and Australia, where he played rugby at a regional level, as well as traveling across Europe. Upon his return, he resumed his rugby career, playing semi-professionally for Neath RFC for three years while simultaneously training in stone masonry.
Eventually, Simon decided to pivot from sports to acting, a passion he had long harbored. He started his acting career in 2009 with small roles, quickly progressing to notable appearances in acclaimed television series such as BBC's "Casualty," "Merlin," and "Being Human." Simon also ventured into short films, contributing to several award-winning projects, including "Alderwood Plain," "Defiant in Death," "Lex Tallionis," "Intruder," "The Hellraiser Chronicles," and the highly anticipated "The Antwerp Dolls" and "Kamakazi."
