Marin Yanev, a distinguished Bulgarian actor, completed his studies at the National Academy for Theatre and Film Art in Sofia in 1967, under the guidance of the esteemed Metodi Andonov. His theatrical journey began at Varna Drama Theater and Plovdiv Drama Theatre, later moving to the New Theatre "Tears and Laughter."

Yanev has portrayed a variety of memorable characters on stage, including Earmuffs in Shakespeare's "Comedy of Errors" and Mac Murphy in Dale Wasserman's adaptation of "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest." In 1985, he joined the National Theatre "Ivan Vazov," where he delivered notable performances as Henry in "Fireplace" by Margarit Minkov, the Lord in "Church of Wolves" by Petar Atanasov, and the Physician in Shakespeare’s "Macbeth." Other significant roles include Professor Santana in Edward de Filippo's "Ghosts in Naples," and Spiridon in Kamen Donev's "Day Off."

Yanev's talents earned him the prestigious "Asker" Prize in 1998 for Best Supporting Actor for his role in "Church of Wolves," as well as the Best Actor Award from the Union of Bulgarian Artists for his portrayal of Mac Murphy. Additionally, he has made significant contributions to Bulgarian cinema, appearing in films such as "The Goat Horn," "Tree Without Roots," and "Where Do You Live?" His most recent screen appearance was in "Buffer Zone," showcasing his enduring passion for the performing arts.
