Gertrude Madeline "Trudy" Marshall was a prominent American actress and model, celebrated for her captivating presence in the entertainment industry. In her early career, she gained recognition as a cigarette girl for renowned magazine publisher Harry Conover, earning the titles of "The Old Gold Girl," "The Chesterfield Girl," and "The Lucky Strike Girl" at various points.

In 1942, Marshall was signed by 20th Century-Fox, where she began her film journey with minor roles. She achieved significant acclaim for her performance in the World War II drama The Fighting Sullivans, portraying Genevieve, the sister of five brothers who tragically perished in the USS Juneau sinking during the Guadalcanal campaign.
