Marianne Koch, born on August 19, 1931, in Munich, is a notable former German actress renowned for her roles during the 1950s and 1960s, particularly in spaghetti westerns and adventure films. Over her acting career, which spanned from 1950 to 1971, she featured in more than 65 films. One of her most memorable performances was in the 1954 espionage thriller "Night People," where she starred alongside Gregory Peck. Additionally, in Sergio Leone’s iconic 1964 film "A Fistful of Dollars," Koch portrayed a civilian caught in a dangerous conflict with local gangsters, sharing the screen with Clint Eastwood.

In Germany, she became a household name through her long-running participation in the beloved television game show "Was bin ich," which aired from the 1950s until 1988 and reached viewership ratings of up to 75% at its peak.

After stepping away from acting, Koch returned to her medical studies in 1971, earning her medical degree in 1974. She practiced as a physician in Munich until 1997. In 1976, she was among the original hosts of the influential talk show "3 nach 9," earning the esteemed Grimme Preis for her contributions.

Koch was married to physician Gerhard Freund from 1953 until their divorce in 1973, and they have two sons. Since the mid-1980s, she has been in a relationship with publicist Peter Hamm.
