Rei Sakuma

Rei Sakuma (佐久間 レイ, Sakuma Rei), born on January 5, 1965, in Setagaya, Tokyo, is a renowned Japanese voice actress, actress, and singer. Her birth name is Reiko Sakuma (佐久間 玲子, Sakuma Reiko), and she stands at 158 cm tall, with a blood type of B. Currently, she is represented by her own agency, Ookina.

Sakuma began her career in the entertainment world in 1982 when she featured on NHK’s youth program, Let's Go Young, adopting the stage name Rei Sakuma. Initially associated with Saiga Kikaku, she transitioned to Bond Kikaku in late 1983, solidifying her identity as Rei Sakuma. In February 1983, she launched her music career with her debut single, "Hamidashi Tenshi," and became a prominent member of the group Sundays on NHK.

Her voice acting career took off in 1985 when she portrayed the character Pias in the animated series Dream Star Button Nose. This marked the beginning of her extensive work in voice acting, which has included various notable roles across anime and video games. Throughout her journey, she has been represented by 81 Produce and, since 2018, has focused her talents through her own agency, continuing to leave a significant mark in the entertainment industry.
