Terrence Alan Crews, born on July 30, 1968, is a multifaceted American entertainer known for his work as an actor, comedian, activist, artist, bodybuilder, and former professional football player. He is best recognized for his role as Julius Rock on the sitcom "Everybody Hates Chris," which aired on UPN and CW. Crews has also hosted the American version of the game show "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" and starred in the BET reality series "The Family Crews." His film credits include notable titles such as "Friday After Next" (2002), "White Chicks" (2004), "Idiocracy" (2006), "Blended" (2014), and the "Expendables" franchise. Since 2013, he has portrayed NYPD Lieutenant Terry Jeffords in the acclaimed sitcom "Brooklyn Nine-Nine." In 2019, he took on the role of host for "America's Got Talent," having previously hosted its spin-off series, "America's Got Talent: The Champions."

Before his entertainment career, Crews played both defensive end and linebacker in the NFL for teams including the Los Angeles Rams, San Diego Chargers, and Washington Redskins. He also showcased his skills in the World League of American Football (WLAF) with the Rhein Fire and played collegiate football at Western Michigan University.

An outspoken advocate for women's rights, Crews has bravely shared his family's experiences with domestic abuse, stemming from his father's violent behavior. In 2017, he was recognized as one of Time's Persons of the Year for his courage in speaking out against sexual assault.
