Plot

In "Harsh Times," Jim Davis, a former Army Ranger, struggles to stay on the straight path after his hopes of joining the LAPD fall through. As he grapples with his disillusionment, he gets pulled back into a world of minor criminal activities. Meanwhile, his best friend faces pressure from his girlfriend Sylvia to secure employment. Jim, however, is more focused on quick cash through small-time heists, all while dreaming of a future with his Mexican girlfriend, believing a law enforcement position will pave the way for their marriage.
