Larry Storch, born in the 1930s in a gritty neighborhood of New York City, discovered his flair for comedy at an early age. Storch's talent as an impressionist emerged during his teenage years in vaudeville, where he captivated audiences with his quick wit and vibrant personality. After serving in the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1946 during World War II, his career took a significant turn when he crossed paths with comedian Phil Harris in Palm Springs. This encounter led to Storch opening for Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz at Ciro's nightclub, a moment that marked a pivotal point in his journey.
Storch's breakthrough came on radio when he joined "The Kraft Music Hall" to fill in for the ailing Frank Morgan. Not only did he showcase his impressive array of impersonations, but he also delivered a memorable impression of Morgan himself, earning him acclaim and solidifying his place in the entertainment industry. Over the years, Larry Storch became a beloved figure, known for his unique comedic style and contributions to television, including his memorable role as Corporal Agarn on "F Troop."
