Plot

Set in 1944, Captain Josiah J. Newman oversees the neuropsychiatric ward at an underfunded Army Air Corps hospital in Arizona. Alongside his resourceful staff, particularly Cpl. Jake Leibowitz, Newman navigates the military's hesitant acceptance of mental health issues. He faces the challenge of treating soldiers like Colonel Norville Bliss, who has lost touch with his identity, and Capt. Paul Winston, paralyzed by trauma after months in hiding. Young Cpl.
