Brian O'Halloran
Brian Christopher O'Halloran, born on December 20, 1969, is an accomplished American actor renowned for his captivating performances in Kevin Smith's View Askewniverse films. He is particularly celebrated for his portrayal of Dante Hicks in Smith's iconic debut, "Clerks," and its sequel, "Clerks II," released in 2006. Throughout his career, O'Halloran has made brief appearances in nearly all of Smith's films, often reprising his role as Dante or appearing as one of Dante's relatives.
Raised in Old Bridge Township, New Jersey, from the age of 13, O'Halloran was born in Manhattan to parents who immigrated from Ireland. He experienced a profound loss when his father passed away when he was just 15.
In addition to his notable film role, O'Halloran starred in the 2000 independent film "Vulgar," which tells the haunting story of a small-town clown who faces trauma during a performance.
An advocate for theater, O'Halloran has engaged in numerous stage productions since high school, emphasizing the value of live performances for honing an actor's craft. He is affiliated with several theater companies, including Boomerang Theatre Company and New Jersey Repertory Company.
