Marisa Tomei, born on December 4, 1964, is a renowned American actress celebrated for her impressive body of work. Tomei first gained recognition through her role on the soap opera As the World Turns, but it was her performance in the spin-off series A Different World in 1987 that propelled her into the spotlight. After a few smaller film roles, she achieved significant fame in 1992 with the comedy My Cousin Vinny, earning her the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
