Dennis Fimple was a versatile actor known for his appearances across a wide array of television shows and films. His television credits include notable series such as Here Come the Brides, Petticoat Junction, Matt Houston, M*A*S*H, Centennial, Simon & Simon, Highway to Heaven, Sledge Hammer!, Knight Rider, Quantum Leap, and ER. In addition to his television work, he had roles in several movies, including Truck Stop Women (1974), The Apple Dumpling Gang (1975), Mackintosh and T.J. (1975), Stay Hungry (1976), King Kong (1976), The Shadow of Chikara (1977), Goin' South (1978), The Wild Women of Chastity Gulch (1982), and Maverick (1994). Fimple is perhaps best remembered for his portrayal of the endearing yet dim-witted Kyle Murtry, a member of the Devil's Hole Gang, on the ABC comedy/western series Alias Smith and Jones, alongside Pete Duel and Ben Murphy, where he appeared in seven episodes. Later, from 1993 to 1994, he played Garral in seven episodes of CBS's Harts of the West, featuring Beau Bridges and Lloyd Bridges. His final performance came in the 2003 horror film House of 1000 Corpses, where he took on the role of the foul-mouthed Grandpa Hugo.

Born in Taft, California, to parents Dolly and Elmer Fimple, he graduated from Taft Union High School in 1958. Tragically, Dennis Fimple passed away in a car accident in Frazier Park, California, in August 2002.
