Alo Kõrve, born on December 2, 1978, in Jõgeva, Jõgeva County, is a celebrated Estonian actor known for his contributions to stage, film, and television. The youngest of two children, he grew up in a creative household, influenced by his parents, Are Kõrve and his wife (née Simson), and his sister, Ave Kõrve-Noorkõiv.

Initially aspiring to pursue a career in law, Kõrve shifted his focus to the performing arts, enrolling in the EMA Higher Drama School (now the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre) in Tallinn. He graduated in 2002, showcasing his talent in various roles, including Brian in Mark Twain's *The Prince and the Pauper* and Doctor Vaik in Eduard Vilde's *The Elusive Miracle*.

His breakout film role came in 2002 with the acclaimed war drama *Nimed marmortahvlil* (Names in Marble), directed by Elmo Nüganen. This film, which explores the lives of Estonian students during the War of Independence, marked a significant milestone in his career and was the highest-grossing Estonian film at the time. Over the years, he has appeared in numerous productions, including the documentary *Disco ja tuumasõda* (Disco and Atomic War) in 2009, and the historical thriller *Melchior the Apothecary* in 2022.

Alo married actress and singer Hele Kõre in June 2009, and they have two daughters, Roosi and Kirsi. The family resides in Üksnurme, Harju County, near Tallinn.
