Anne Louise Hassing
Anne Louise Hassing, a prominent Danish actress, completed her studies at the Statens Teaterskole in 1997. Born to chief physician Folmer Hassing Nielsen and pediatric dentist Linnea Rasmussen, she embarked on her acting career with a notable film debut in Nils Malmros' "The Pain of Love" in 1992. This performance earned her both a Robert and a Bodil award for Best Female Lead, highlighting her exceptional talent. Hassing continued to impress audiences and critics alike, receiving another Bodil award in 1999 for her role in Lars von Trier's "Idiots."
Her versatility as an actress is evident in her work across various genres, including adaptations of Jane Aamund’s novels, such as "Klinkevals" and "Juliane," as well as in TV series like "Strisser på Samsø" and "De pokker's parents." From 2004 to 2007, Hassing enjoyed significant acclaim for her portrayal of Ida in the drama series "Krøniken," which garnered her the title of Female TV Actress of the Year for three consecutive years. In 2007, she showcased her dancing skills on the television series "Wild with Dance," where she partnered with Michael Olesen, finishing in sixth place.
Beyond her acting career, Anne Louise Hassing practices Buddhism and is affiliated with the Soka Gakkai sect. She is married to musician Peter Hellemann.
