Danila Kozlovsky

Danila Valeryevich Kozlovsky, born on May 3, 1985, in Moscow, is a celebrated Russian actor and director known for his significant contributions to film and theater. He is the son of stage actress Nadezhda Zvenigorodskaya and Valery Kozlovsky, a marketing professor, and grew up in a family steeped in the arts and academia. From an early age, Kozlovsky was immersed in dance and music, studying instruments like the saxophone and the alto.

Kozlovsky's acting career began in 1998 with his portrayal of Denis in the television series "Simple Truths." After graduating from drama school in 2007, he joined the esteemed Little Drama Theatre. His breakout role came in 2005 with "Garpastum," a film set during World War I, for which he earned the "White Elephant Award" for Best Male Lead. He gained national fame in 2008 with "Black Hunters."

His performance in the 2012 hit "Soulless" solidified his status as a household name, leading to a nomination for the National Golden Eagle Award. The sequel, released in 2015, earned him a Nika Award. Kozlovsky also portrayed the iconic hockey player Valeri Kharlamov in "Legend № 17," a film that grossed $29.5 million.

In addition to his successful Russian films, he ventured into Hollywood with a role in "Vampire Academy" in 2014. Throughout 2016, he showcased his versatility by starring in five films, including the box-office hits "Viking" and "Flight Crew." His directorial debut, "Coach," premiered in 2018, showcasing his creative talents beyond acting.
